Storybook Ending For The Senators As Lwin’s Walkoff Gives The Senators The Win In Their Final Regular Season Home Game
7/20/2026by Tyke Hunter

The Senators won their final regular season home game in walkoff fashion 7-6, against the Thunderbolts

The Senators got off to amazing start. Starter Brody Juntunen (Florida Atlantic) proved why he was an all star, by striking out the side in 9 pitches, given him an immaculate inning to start the game. He would go on to have 10 k’s in 4 innings of work.

The Second inning did not go as good as the first inning for Juntunen. A leadoff single put pressure on him early, but back to back strikeouts took that pressure away. The next batter walked and then the T-bolts belted a 3 run homer to give them an early 3-0 lead.

Jackson Hays (Yale) led off the bottom of the second with a single. Zach Anderson (Binghamton) and Jack Euart (Wofford) both drew walks to load the bases with no outs. Kai Lwin (Florida Atlantic) then Crushed a Grand Slam to straightaway center field to take the lead 4-3. The T-bolts starter got pulled after 2 more batters in this wild second inning.

The Senators extended their lead in the 3rd after Zach Anderson hit a home run just over the left field fence to make it a 2 run ballgame.

In the top of the fifth, the T-bolts drew back to back walks and stole third base to set up a potential sacrifice fly. The next batter cashed in with a ball hit just far enough in right field to score the runner on third base, making it 5-4.

The T-bolts added another run in the seventh to tie the game. A walk and hit by pitch put 2 runners on base with 2 outs. A hard hit line drive went off the top of the left fielders glove, scoring a run to tie the game at 5.

After this the craziest sequence of the game happened in the bottom of the seventh. The bases were loaded with one out when Ben Rollison (Oswego State) laid down a bunt. The T-bolts pitcher tossed the ball to the catcher getting the out at home, the catcher then tried to get Rollison out at first, but he was safe. Euart never stopped running from second base and narrowly beat the throw from first base back to home, giving the Senators the lead 6-5.

The T-bolts tied the game with an RBI single in the top of the eighth. In the bottom of the ninth, Kai Lwin stepped up with Euart on second base. He hit a hard grounder to the T-bolts first baseman, but the ball was too hot to handle, allowing Euart to score and win the game 7-6.

The Senators will likely be the 3 seed in the Cal Ripken League playoffs and if this ends up being the case they will host a playoff game on Friday July 24th.
